AASB's March Conference, Leadership for Developing a Highly Effective Staff, will take place in Birmingham this year at the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel!

Join us March 10 and 11 at The Sheraton Birmingham Hotel for AASB's Spring Academy Core Conference, Leadership for Developing a Highly Effective Staff (6 training hours). School board members will dive into how to use student achievement data to make effective staffing decisions. Our speakers will also explore employee recruitment, staff development and promoting staff health and wellness. Attendees will earn up to 6 training ours for this event. VIEW AGENDA


Main Conference Registration

2023 Spring Academy Core Conference ($199) | REGISTER NOW 

Conference Cancellation Policy: No cancellations after Thursday, March 2. Any registrations not cancelled or no shows the day of the event will not receive a refund. A $20 late registration fee will be incurred starting Friday, March 3.

Poverty Simulation & Early Bird Workshop Registration

  • Poverty Simulation ($50) | March 10, 9 to 11:30 a.m. | REGISTER NOW
    Get a sobering glimpse into the day-to-day realities of students and families living in poverty by participating in this interactive simulation. (Earn 2.5 training hours
  • Early Bird Workshop ($75) | March 10, 1 to 3 p.m. | REGISTER NOW 
    Dr. Greg Price, Chief Technology Officer at Troy University and Pike County School Board Member, will discuss the dangers students face online in our pre-conference workshop, Bullies & Predators: Online Threats to Students. (Earn 2 training hours)
