Webinar: Rethinking Alabama's School Funding Formula

Join us Tuesday, July 2 from noon to 1 p.m. for a free webinar presented by the A+ Education Partnership.

As a new statewide coalition explores changes to modernize Alabama's school funding formula, representatives from A+ Education Partnership will take a deep dive into what can be done to ensure every child in the state has access to a world-class education system, regardless of zip code or circumstance. A+ will provide an overview of the challenges of our current resource-based formula, which we know as the Foundation Program, and also discuss what a student-weighted formula would look like for Alabama. They will share how the formula works in other states and explain the role of local funding and data to inform decision-making at the state level.
