Member: Tuscaloosa County Board of Education Randy Smalley, a member of the Tuscaloosa County school board since 2016, became AASB's president-elect in December 2025 and previously served as District 7 director from 2022 to 2025. Randy has achieved the Master Honor Roll distinction in AASB's School Board Member Academy and has served on the Advocacy and Equity Committees.He is the owner/operator of a small family business, Randy Smalley Flooring and Tile.
In addition to his work as a school board member, Randy is actively involved in his community, with more than 30 years of involvement with youth organizations including Duncanville Middle School Booster Club (chartered), Hillcrest High School Booster Club (served as president), South Tuscaloosa Mustangs (founded), YMCA Youth Sports (president) and the YMCA Youth Football League.
Randy is an active member of Alberta Baptist Church. He and his wife, Lisa, have five children who also are involved in numerous church and community activities.
