Boards in District: Colbert, Cullman, Franklin, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Morgan and Winston Counties and the city school boards of Cullman, Decatur, Florence, Haleyville, Hartselle, Muscle Shoals, Russellville, Sheffield and Tuscumbia 

Donna Jones was appointed by the executive committee of AASB’s Board of Directors in December 2024 to assume the remainder of the term of previous District 8 director and former Morgan County school board member, Jimmy Dobbs.

Retired from a 30-year teaching career, Donna has served on the Haleyville City school board since 2016. She has been a member of AASB's Resolutions and Board Training Advisory Committees. 

Donna has reached level four status in the AASB School Board Member Academy has earned nearly 220 training hours.
