Job Title: CSFO of Madison County Schools

Job Overview 

The Madison County Board of Education seeks a visionary and goal-oriented CSFO with a strong understanding of Alabama school finance and applicable laws. Among the traits the board expects to see in a successful candidate

• Knowledge of accounting laws, policies, rules, and regulations
• Knowledge of tax laws, reforms, and regulations which impact employee benefits, tax forms, and related concerns
• Knowledge of business techniques and computers at a level required to implement and maintain an automated financial system (i.e. knowledgeable in McAleer/NextGen)
• Ability to supervise and evaluate personnel assigned to the area of business and finance
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form
• Possess physical and emotional ability and dexterity to perform required work and move about as needed in a fast paced, high-intensity environment
