2024 Winter Convention ($299) | 8 hours
- Conference cancellations will incur a $75 fee. No cancellations or refunds after Nov. 22.
- Any registrations not cancelled or no shows on the day of the event will be charged full price.
- A $20 late fee will be added to registrations after Nov. 22.

Student Discipline | Thursday, Dec. 5 | 4 hours
This session will cover helpful information about leadership and supports to improve student achievement in systems with underperforming schools.
- No cancellations after Wednesday, November 22.

What You Need to Know

Registration: You must first register for Convention before booking your room at The Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa. Details to book your room will be provided in your Convention registration confirmation email.
Cancellations: Please note, registrants will be charged a $75 fee for Convention cancellations. The deadline to cancel without being charged the full event price is November 22, 2024. Registrations not cancelled/no-shows on the day of the event will be charged full price.
Pre-Convention Workshop: The Student Discipline Workshop will offer helpful information about leadership and supports to improve student achievement in systems with underperforming schools. The workshop will take place on Thursday, Dec. 5 from 10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Lunch is included.
Delegate Assembly: AASB's annual business meeting will take place on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. Delegates will vote on AASB's president-elect as well as changes to our bylaws and resolutions that will govern the Association in 2025. All members are welcome to attend. VIEW DELEGATE ASSEMBLY HANDBOOK
Academy Awards Luncheon: AASB will recognize its 2024 All-State School Board honorees and school board members who have advanced in the School Board Member Academy on Friday, Dec. 6 at noon.

Don’t miss your chance to build relationships with Alabama’s school board members and superintendents! AASB's Annual Convention is expected to draw more than 500 local education leaders representing virtually every public school system in the state. We are pleased to offer up to 40 exhibit spaces as well as wonderful opportunities for event sponsorship! Check back later for vendor registration information.
Toy Drive
AASB will be collecting donations of new, unwrapped toys for our third annual Convention Toy Drive! Donations will benefit Alabama children and families in need.
Each district has been assigned a specific age range to supply donations for.
Districts 1-3: Please bring new, unwrapped toys for ages 0-3
Districts 4-6: Please bring new, unwrapped toys for ages 4-6.
Districts 7-9: Please bring new, unwrapped toys for ages 7-10.
Please bring your donations with you to Convention! Together, we can make the holiday season brighter for Alabama children.
