Charter School Authorizer

AASB's clearinghouse links you to important information school boards may wish to consider as they explore whether they would like to authorize charter schools this year or in future years. School boards have until Sept. 1 this year to submit their application to become authorizers. This clearinghouse includes the application and instructions, a guiding memo from the state superintendent of education, the act (Alabama School Choice and Student Opportunity Act) as well as other resources to help you decide.
