Opportunities for Working with AASB Abound

There are a variety of ways companies that provide products and services to Alabama school boards can work with the Alabama Association of School Boards to get noticed and build local relationships.

Sponsor or Exhibit

One of the best ways is to sponsor a meal, break or speaker or exhibiting during an AASB conference. Our conferences are attended by hundreds of the state's local education decision-makers.

Become a Member

Another great option is to join AASB as a sustaining member.

This special category of membership creates a partnership between the association and companies the provide the services and products school boards need.

The sustaining membership offers several ways to market your services while supporting AASB’s service to school board members.  The $700 annual membership fee includes an exhibit booth at our annual convention (a $450 value), a mailing list of all school board members and superintendents (a $50 value), a listing in each issue of our magazine, Alabama School Boards, and a Web site listing.

Sustaining members have a two-week opportunity to choose their convention exhibit booth before the process is opened to other exhibitors.  In addition, they receive notices of all AASB educational conferences, which they can attend by paying the member registration fee – a significant savings off the non-member rate.

Network with School Board Members

Many firms find the conferences an excellent opportunity to network among our members while, through sponsorship of coffee breaks and other activities, financially assisting with providing important school board member training.

Twice each year AASB holds district meetings in nine areas of the state.  Attendance at these dutch-treat dinner meetings is outstanding, and our sustaining members have found them to be a great way to meet and develop a rapport with school board members and superintendents.  Total attendance at these district meetings usually exceeds 500 school board members and superintendents.
